A little more info
In the wilds of Dartmoor, at full moon, enter the magic of sacred mbira music, connecting us to the spirits of our ancestors
This retreat will centre around a ceremonial mbira night with traditional Zimbabwean food, community prayers, and music, song and dance for the spirits into the night
In preparation, we will explore the traditional dances, music, songs and rhythms of the mbira, and open our embodied breathing beings to connect with the land, our ancestors and our heart prayers as a community
The mbira opens a sacred liminal space, a bridge drawing the seen and unseen worlds together in a way that has been happening in rural Zimbabwe for thousands of generations
This is real community dance, this is dance that matters to us, the dance of our lives!
