Earth Rising: Embodying Mbira

An introduction to the magical world of Zimbabwean mbira through traditional song and dance with Denise Rowe and Kennedy Chinyere

For thoushands of generations the Zimbabwean mbira has been played to connect us to our ancestors, the earth and our hearts.  And now the mbira is calling to be welcomed into your own home for a special sacred evening of music and prayer. 

This session offers a route into the ceremonial mbira evening and also works as a stand alone workshop.

At this time of change and re-alignment, the calls of Earth and Truth are stronger than ever.  We've all been changed, brought home to ourselves in new ways, and now we are at a threshold of emergence.  

Earth Rising is a series of outdoor and online offerings at the threshold, so that our emergence is rooted in truth, guided by our hearts, and grounded in our knowing of ourselves as part of this earth and each other.
